We were asked to DJ at the Celtic Manor Hotel and host an evening of fund raising just before Christmas with Rugby superstar Gareth Thomas.
Gareth Thomas or ‘Alfie’ as he is affectionately known, helped us raise a large amount of money at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales for a brilliant young lad called Leo who has Cerebral Palsy.
So, we are delighted to see Gareth Thomas is now taking part in the ITV programme: ‘Dancing On Ice’. We have to admit though, it’s not come as a complete surprise to us.
During the charity auction on November 24th 2012, we conducted a Q&A session with Gareth in which he answered a number of questions from the audience. Towards the end of the chat we asked Gareth what his plans were for the next few months and although he didn’t say anything, he took up a pose that suggested he might be ice dancing!
When pushed on the issue he wouldn’t confirm or deny that he was taking part in ‘Dancing On Ice’ but we all had a pretty good idea that he might be!
With his sporting background, Gareth has the competitive side to his nature and he left us in no doubt that he’s certainly in good physical shape when he removed his top and posed for a number of photographs on the night!
